Hello Internet nerds and loyal readers. It’s been a while! This statement has been long overdue, but necessary to close this chapter officially.
Back in October of 2021, I decided to take a break from writing and managing Incoming to finish pursuing my degree. I also got an internship at SiriusXM, and I dove into a hectic schedule of waking up at 4 in the morning to be on air by 5:30. Then, time does what it always does, and now it’s a year later. Our staff members have moved on to pursue bigger and better things, Juice Media has dissolved, and Incoming hasn’t had a new post since August 2021. As a result, Incoming has met its natural end. There will be no new posts in this newsletter moving forward.
Thank you to our writers and social media managers who worked so hard on this newsletter: Emily Venezky, Leah Erwin, Hannah Moseley, Karla Rubalcava, Kayla Curtis-Evans, Eva Wen, Grace Mahony, and Stasa Dorojevic.
Thank you to the team at Juice for being excellent collaborators and friends.
And lastly, thank you to our wonderful readers for subscribing and engaging with our posts. It truly means the world.
Although Incoming is ending, this is not my last venture into digital culture writing. I have written technology op-eds published in Reuters and Fast Company, co-authored by my colleagues at Fight for the Future. I aim to continue writing about technology and digital culture for the inevitable future. If you want to keep up with me, the first place I update is my Twitter @pauljordyn.
Working on Incoming was one of the best professional experiences I’ve had. Every one of our staff members and readers made this project much better than a dream. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continued support. I hope you’ll continue to support me on my writing journey.
Take care, and keep your screen time low!
Jordyn
